Dear Friends...
This has been a weird summer for me...and has directly affected the quality of this blog. In May I was in a bad hiking accident. I won't bore you with all the details now ....I will bore you another time! But in a nutshell, while hiking, I developed large, abnormally deep blisters on my feet that resulted in severe skin loss. Since I am diabetic, this turned into a long, slow recovery in various medical facilities. It took courses of antibiotics and daily dressing changes for over six weeks to do the job.
The good news is that I have FULLY recovered. The even BETTER news....I was able to KEEP my feet. Had my feet become infected, I could very well have lost them to amputation. Thank God things worked out.
So how has all this affected my blog? Well first you may have noticed a two month "break" with no postings. Finally I was able to have my computer brought from home to my recovery room, but I still wasn't ready to write.
Now, three months after the big event, I am just now starting to write again.
One other glitch.....back in April I had started working on a new web site....with my own domain name. I had planned to have it up and running by July. Wellllll.....my plans changed, lol. I am just now starting back to work on the new site, and hope to have it going by October or November.
In the meantime this blog will be affected because I won't be writing many loooooooong missives. Instead I will have a combination of MARCO'S TASTY TIDBITS....plus reprints of my past inworld magazines...plus guest commentators etc. The longer material I am saving for the new website.
I sure would appreciate any help you could give me, by sending in your funny/weird "bits." I wrote about that yesterday. You can read it in the posting after this one, titled, "Are YOU a Tasty Tidbit in Second Life?"
Anyway, thank you for staying with my blog, and, "Here's a toast to some funny-stupid-weird-strange new postings in Marco's Second Life Humor blog, coming soon!" CLINK!
